About A Breast of Me

Diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer on June 8, 2017, this is where I keep all you supportive, thoughtful and encouraging people informed about my diagnosis and ongoing treatment at Houston’s renowned MD Anderson Hospital. I hope this honest account of my physical, mental, and emotional progress, as well as the occasional setback, will provide an authentic picture of what it looks like, for me, to battle this relatively rare, aggressive, and often misdiagnosed form of breast cancer.

I am offering “a breast of me” to medical science by participating in a clinical trial…and to those who seek or need to understand my journey. I sincerely hope my breast efforts to string together detailed, descriptive posts prove insightful or meaningful to you…Just click on Posts for blog entries past and present.

Your reassuring, caring comments are sincerely appreciated; you truly lift my spirits. Thank you all for the bountiful love, encouragement, prayers and positive thoughts…I definitely feel the love you’re sending my way. ♥️

KEVIN!! I had not seen your message until just now….It apparently posted on my final radiation day…the day prior to my return to CA…and subsequent deployment of my clean and repair mission…I haven’t been on my blog until this latest post…I think of you and the Hot Yoga 1000 family often, and miss practicing at the best studio around! I plan to stop by to see you and Amy soon!

Hi Terry! We’ve met! It’s been several months, and it was a very quick meeting, as you were at MDACC for another purpose that day. Charla and Angela introduced us not long after my arrival at MDACC when I was learning more about the clinical trial. It is encouraging to hear IBC success stories, and I am truly happy to know you are well and thriving.

I’ll follow you on any site you see fit. Your posts are filled with enlightenment that I share with my friend here who’s also going thru it. I love you and miss you and look forward to seeing you in June. I was thinking of bringing a chocolate bread. Does that work for you? 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘😘😘😘. Love you💗

Chocolate bread ALWAYS works for me! You know me too well!! You always make me smile, Della…Thank you, my friend. I was frustrated by not being able to respond to comments on the other site, so I think this works better for me. Plus I can use more photos. It’s pretty basic…but, that’s all I need for now…Despite my strong urge to buy a domain, get more creative, use fancy fonts, design a beautiful header, etc…I settled on keeping it simple. Can’t wait to see you! ❤️

Great new site. I wish you well and each day is a blessing in your life. I am currently at a cancer retreat put on by the Simonton center. It is very insightful and hard work on my belief system and learning to think healthy thoughts and better communication skills. Carol Simonton had a book called “getting well again. ” he was a pinoneer in creative thinking and belief system and laughter. U might want to read it. I am reading his one book called healing journey as well. Also, a great book on NDE and cancer is Dying to Be Me”. I had read before coming here this week and they talked about it this week.
Take care and too healthy thoughts and laughter and believing in u! 👯👯
